Lately...

I've been spending some time with this little darling

Eating a lot of great Summery foods outside (YUM!)

And taking advantage of the weather!  I love Summer!

Here's the pizza recipe for the middle collage, furthest on the right side:

Fresh Veggie Pizza:
Ingredients:
-Pizza Crust
-Pizza Sauce
-1/4 White Onion, sliced thin
-1 Green Pepper, sliced thin
-1 Large Tomato, sliced thin
-1/4 Cup Parsley, chopped
-1/4 Cup Basil, chopped
-1/2 Cup Cheddar Cheese
-1/4 Cup Real Bacon Bits

Instructions:
Spread pizza sauce all over crust, top with sliced onion, sliced pepper, sliced tomato and cheese.  Bake in oven at 400 until cheese has melted and crust is golden.  Remove from oven, cut, and top with fresh herbs.  Delicious!

Etsy Craft Party

A few weeks ago the Winnipeg Etsy Street Team put on an Etsy Craft Party!!

Etsy had a worldwide craft party day, where communities were invited to bring in old photographs and create fun new frames for them!

I was given the challenge to take the 'ugliest' materials and make it into something beautiful.  Here's how it turned out

It was a super fun evening held at Frame Art Warehouse alongside the Makers Market.

Make sure you join us next year the Etsy Craft Party!

Swimco

Today I'm partnering with Swimco to share my experience with their new Website!

I was impressed to find, while I was browsing around, that they have a large range of sizing including larger cup sizes which is sometimes hard to find especially when you're sorta hour glass shaped like me!

I found the site easy to navigate, using categories, and lots of options like color, brand, fit, etc. and lots of shapes and styles!  I chose this beautiful Beach Glass Tankini because it has underwire support as well as a bra clasp inside of the top!

I'm very happy with how this top fits, as I am fairly full busted, it's important to me to be supported and feel like everything is going to stay where it belongs at the pool or the beach, and this top does just that while also being extremely flattering!

I went with these hipster bottoms in the Aussie Tab style, and they are also quite comfortable!

I'm so excited it's finally Summer weather, and we can start enjoying the rays and the water!  If you still don't have the perfect suit for this Summer, take a look at Swimco, and enjoy FREE SHIPPING with this code: HEIDIANDSEEK

Make sure to order fast, this code expires June 22, 2014.  Happy shopping!

Back Forty Festival

The Back 40 Folk Festival is one of my favorite shows to do!  We arrive early to set up tents and tables, put our products out and sit back in our lawn chairs.  I debuted a new style of dress I just made, perfect for hot Summer days!

The festival is held in Morden, MB and it's an all-day music festival complete with local artists, and bands on the festival circuit.  There's also festival food trucks, an artisan village (where I set up), a kids tent and more!  I've had so much fun in the past and this year was no different.

If you're local and you've never experienced this event, make sure you mark your calendar for next year!  It's one you don't want to miss!

What's Up With You

I find that it's always my blog that goes first when I get busy.  Blogging takes time and sometimes I don't have a lot extra of that.  So, to catch you up, here's a few things that have happened in the last month!

I did a show with WEST, I brought Spring infinity scarves, fabric flower necklaces, upcycled leather and cotton clutches, and Heidi Hoods!

I started running (what is wrong with me??!) with Nike Training Club and Nike+ Running.  It's not so bad...

I finished school for the summer!  This is my last project, our menswear unit I made a hooded vest for my husband, and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed I made this :)

I discovered this really great Summer beer-it's Grapefruit! Yum!

I've been eating as many meals outside as possible because...apparently it is Summer now?

I took a selfie when I was locked out of the house!

We planted herbs in the backyard!

Been enjoying some Summer drive-in food ;)

Also enjoying the Spring/Summer blooms.

There, now you're all caught up!  What's new with you?
